Do you have a positive attitude when you hear about an opportunity? Would you listen to it well engouth, to find out if it is a great opportunity? If you said yes to those questions let me say you are a wise person and also an obedient one. The following verses make it clear that evem if you are busy doing good you still can get a new opportunity and do better, much better sometimes.
NVI Ephesians 5:16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
NVI Colossians 4:5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.
We are about to go “out of the box”, so my prayers is that you don’t miss this opportunity.
First let me ask this question would you pack a shoe boxes for Brazilian children? I bet you would. But what if ai tellyou that there is a better thing to do instead?
Let me explain and give you some details ang background.

Brazil is a vibrant democracy. You could call it Top 5. Let me give you more details.
Brazil is:
1. Top 5 - Evangelical countries in the World. ( 2º ) Brazil has 50 million evangelicals, + 100 million Catolics - (300 thousand churches, Thousand Seminars, and hundreds TV and Radio Christian broadcast programs.)
2. Top 5 - in Population ( 220 million )
3. Top 5 - in Size and natural wealth.
4. Top 5 - in Economy (depending on ranking sources)
5. Top 5 - in Number of universities 1350
Do you think Brazilians could make some shoe boxes on its own?
If so... Would this be a good opportunity for Brazilians Christians to
learn a hands-on opportunity to share the Gospel and help themselves?
When Jesus said: NVI John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever
believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will
do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
The biggest lesson we get from this verse is not that we will be able to do great things, but that Jesus, The Almighty Lord, is saying: I don’t mind if you can do better than I do. I am not jealous or selfish about it. Dot it and let other do too.
Yo I don’t hear that very often those encouraging words these days from our leaders, such as: Have you heard lately: You will to a bigger ministry than I do, I will help you!
Sometimes we want to keep to ourselves the best part, and we don´t let other have it, so we provide to then something else instead. Right?
NVI Acts 20:35 b ... we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
Let make myself clear. Is very important help other to develop grow and let them to the best part too. Let then be more blessed! Help them give. People like to be involved and feel helpful too.
OCC has been running in the US for the las 30 years, 15 years ago I
leaned the project in the US and brought the concept to Brazil in
2004. So far now we have reached around 30 thousand shoeboxes
in the las 15 years in Brazil.
The great news is that we just became a formal and legal Non Profit Association We basically need two thing to get our Shoe Box Ministry take off in Brazil. Prayers and Wisdom.
We nee the KnowHow! Knowledge will help us build a ministry self sustaining, meaningful and scalable.
We have been involving churches members, students and employees for the last 14 years in this project and people really love it.
We could say that this ministry is more than tested and approved by our people in our region.
But now we need to understand how to communicate and reach out to more Churches, Schools and companies. How to fund raise and how to get lots of people involved in a big way. Then we need to know how to handle large quantities of donations and ship it to the right need people and then do a follow up ministry.
