Pensando fora da caixa - Thinking out of the box.
Em 2007 após um excelente começo no Brasil, retornamos aos EUA para mais uma temporada no Colorado, com o objetivo de formalizar uma parceria como o Samaritan´s Purse, para trazer o Projeto de forma estruturada para o Brasil. Tivemos o nosso encontro e nos anos seguintes varias reuniões e calls com varias pessoas que administravam a Operation Christimas Child em Latam, mas essa parceria nunca foi prioridade para o S.P. e os dirigentes apenas me encorajaram a seguir e não desistir do meu Projeto no Brasil. Algumas semanas antes de retornar ao Brasil conheci em um restaurante em Beaver Creek CO, um homem de visão e com um grande coração, o nome dele é Mitch Perry. Mitch me convidou para a sua igreja e compartilhou comigo tudo o que ele sabia e todo o material que ele tinha do O.C.C. Algumas semanas depois Mitch me mandou pelo correio um kit do líder completo. Mitch realmente pensou “fora da caixa” tomou coragem e acreditou que o Brasil pode sim ser um país que doa também. Com este pequeno empurrão já gerou 30 mil caixas de sapato em uma região, que até então, só recebia caixas! Thank you Mitch! God bless you.
In 2007, after an excellent start in Brazil, we returned to the USA for another season in Colorado, with a goal in mind of formalising a partnership with Samaritan´s Purse, to bring the Project in a structured way to Brazil. We had our meeting and in the following years several meetings and calls with several people who ran the Operation Christmas Child in Latam, but this partnership was never a priority for S.P, and the leaders just encouraged me to keep going and not give up on my Project in Brazil. A few weeks before returning to Brazil I met at a restaurant in Beaver Creek CO, a man of vision and with a big heart, his name is Mitch Perry. Mitch invited me to his church and shared with me everything he knew and all the material he had from O.C.C. A few weeks later Mitch mailed me a full leaders guide kit. Mitch really thought “out of the box” took the courage and believed that Brazil can be a giving country too, With that little push it has already generated 30 thousand shoe boxes in the region, which until then, only received boxes!
